Lake Samsonvale is a gated dam located on the North Pine River 5kms upstream from Petrie, Moreton Bay. Many scenic walking trails are available for public use, as well as picnic areas. Some wildlife including koalas and pelicans may be present. Views across the dam towards the neighbouring mountains are spectacular! Boating/kayaking/sailing is permitted on the Dam for permit holders in designated areas only. To obtain a permit, please contact the Lake Samsonvale Water Sports Association. Please note North Pine Dam is owned and controlled by SEQ Water, and public access is confined to designated areas only, primarily: • McGavin View, Vorges Road, Whiteside • Bullocky Rest, Forgan Road, Joyner • Forgan Cove, Forgan Road, Joyner Facilities include BBQ, tables, toilets, parking, and playgrounds.
