Description:Located south of Brisbane in the City of Logan, the Daisy Hill Koala Centre was built by the Queensland Government as a facility dedicated to the public education and safety for the iconic Koala. The small facility is located in a vast area of eucalypt bushland (scrub) in the southern suburb. The park features an indoor information centre and multi-level koala viewing covered timber walkways. To ensure the facility has little impact on the surrounding ecosystem, the entire tourist facility is elevated. The surrounding Daisy Hill conservation area which is home to the sanctuary protects 571 hectares of open eucalypt forest in the southern suburbs of Brisbane. The park provides significant habitat for koalas and other wildlife, along with a network of shared trails that provides visitors with the opportunity to bushwalk, cycle or horse ride through the park. Road access and parking. Open 10am to 4pm daily except public holidays. Free entry. Located 40km (25 miles / 30min) from Village Roadshow Studios and 28km (25 minutes) from Screen Queensland Studios, Brisbane. The nearest airport is Brisbane Airport (BNE). The closest POH, Brisbane City, is 27km (17 miles / 30min) away.
