Description:
Mount Coot-tha Botanical Gardens precinct is home to the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium. Opened in 1978, the Planetarium is home to the Cosmic Skydome - a 12.5 metre-diameter projection dome. It sits adjacent to the car park at the entrance. Other buildings near by include the administration building, library, auditorium, visitor information centre, and a restaurant / cafe. The Planetarium is located 27km (29 minutes) from Screen Queensland Studios, Brisbane.
