Black Gully Rd, Tinaroo QLD 4872 Tinaroo is arguably Far North Queensland's premier dinghy sailing club. Sailing on Tinaroo Lake is extremely popular in that it does not have many of the challenges faced by coastal sailors. The waters are very safe, not overly affected by wave action and the breezes are consistent at most times. The club is a family-oriented club and an accredited Australian Sailing Discover Sailing Centre. Tinaroo offers: Racing, Learn to Sail courses, High School Sailing and of course, the opportunity to use the club's absolute water front location. Races are held every second Sunday through most of the year, with breaks for school holidays. The club also has a strong school sailing program. The club offer very good clubhouse facilities, showers, toilets and great camping on the lakes edge for members.
