Description:The Brisbane Powerhouse is a phenomenal venue for the performing arts in Brisbane. It was built between 1928 and 1940 and originally used as a power station. In the millennium it was repurposed into a mid-sized performing arts centre, though it still features the same industrial art deco design. Situated on the Brisbane River, the Powerhouse can host weddings, conferences, and other events. Some of the spaces available include: meeting room; the lawn; terraces with river views; the plaza; main entrance stage; ‘black box’ theatre; graffiti room; and thrust-stage theatre. Located 64km (39 miles / 49 mins) from Village Roadshow Studios. The nearest airport is Brisbane Airport (BNE). The closest POH, Brisbane City, is 4km (2.4 miles / 10 mins) away.
