Description:
Wangetti Beach is a 4 km long, east-north-east facing beach, running in a near-straight line from Slip Cliff Point in the north to Red Cliff Point in the south. Most tourists to the coast stop at the large car park and lookout on the northern point, which provides a spectacular view of the entire beach. While the beach is highly visible, there is only parking and access at either end. The highway runs a few hundred metres inland from the rest of the beach and there are no facilities. Located 1843km (1145 miles / 21 hrs 40 mins) from Village Roadshow Studios. The nearest airport is Cairns Airport (CNS) approx- 2 hour 30 minute flight from Brisbane (BNE) or Gold Coast, Coolangatta (OOL) Airports. The closest POH, Brisbane City, is 1780km (1106 miles / 21 hrs 15 mins) away.
