Anstead Bushland Reserve is over 80 hectares in size and is the largest Brisbane City Council owned natural area on the Brisbane River. Visitors to the reserve can enjoy bushwalks, horse riding, picnics, a kick and play area, barbecues and access to toilets. The remains of a basalt quarry can still be seen from the lookout located at the top of the old quarry. From here you can also enjoy views of the surrounding area and the Brisbane River. The reserve is mostly open eucalypt forest and provides habitat for over 130 wildlife species, including koalas, echidnas, wallabies and powerful owls. Located 84km (52.2 miles/60 min) from Village Roadshow Studios. The nearest airport is Brisbane Airport (BNE). The closest POH, Brisbane City, is 45km (28 miles/44 min) away.
