Mount Cougal, Springbrook National Park is the mountainous section of the four areas that make up the National Park, only 45 minutes’ drive from Gold Coast City. The area is home jungle-clad, rocky mountains and valleys- lush tropical and temperate forests, cascading rocky waterways, waterfalls and rock pools. Nature trails wind through the ancient ‘Gondwana’ forests of the area to lookout points to take in the breathtaking prehistoric natural beauty. A feature of Mount Cougal itself is that the monolithic apex has a giant inverted arc missing from its summit, creating two smaller peaks. Mountain cloud cover subject to weather/season. During summer's long, hot days Mount Cougal usually experiences afternoon thunderstorms (maximum 37°C). Located 46.9km (29 miles/53 min) from Village Roadshow Studios.
