Macintosh Island Park is an oasis in the midst of all the glitz and glamour of Main Beach. Surrounded by big shady trees, containing playgrounds, cascading streams running through the park, and a bird sanctuary. Sitting alongside a canal of the Nerang River, there are some small sandy beaches where you can launch a kayak. The park has some great modern facilities, with toilets, barbecues and picnic shelters, as well as plenty of park benches, drinking fountains and pathways.
