Description:
Farrier Island is a small, isolated island in the Whitsundays. It is privately owned and has two beach homes and a shed to accommodate a solar power system on the island for separate clients. When weather makes travelling by boat to the island difficult, it is possible to be flown there and back by helicopter or sea plane. From the nearest mainland point to the island, it is approximately 1047km (650.6 miles/ 12hrs 19mins) to Village Roadshow Studios. The nearest airport is Mackay Airport (MKY).
