Description:
Barron Falls is a large waterfall in Barron Gorge National Park. In the wet season the waters are wild and fierce, cascading over the edge of the rock-face. In the dry times the Falls are more of a winding trickle. A feature of the area is the 'Skyrail' Cable car, which takes visitors above the rain forest canopy on its mountain ascent, providing breathtaking aerial views of the falls. Located 1794km (20 h 55 min) from Village Roadshow Studios. The nearest airport is Cairns Airport (CNS). Flights take approximately two-and-a-half hours from Brisbane Airport (BNE). Brisbane City, 1735km (20 h 30 min) away, is the closest POH.
