The Pinnacles (aka the Seven Sisters) are a series of seven volcanic cinder cones on the Atherton Tableland, near Yungaburra, Queensland. They were formed more than 350 000 years ago.
There are many examples of volcanic cinder cones on the Atherton Tablelands easily identified by their round cone shape. The Seven Sisters stand out from many different vantage points and are certainly the most outstanding of this type of geological phenomena.
