Growing on plants which stand up to 1m tall, the growing cycle starts with pink and cream flowers, which once pollinated are replaced with a white cotton ball. Cotton is sown in spring (Sept-Nov), grown over the summer months (Dec-Feb), and harvested into bales over autumn (March-May). To see cotton fields in full bloom, visit at the end of summer or early autumn.
