A wild paradise. Moreton Island being 170km² is the world’s 2nd largest sand island. The island is mostly National Park however there are several small villages and resorts across the island. The island has an abundance of expansive beaches, dense coastal forests which hide freshwater lakes, coloured sand desert, towering sand dunes and ships wrecks on the bay-side creating the Tangalooma Reef.
The Divide - on southern lee side of island - through Kooringal, difficult access
Eastern Beach - stunning ocean beach, low wind-swept sand hills, ocean-side of island
Yellow Patch - Beautiful private beach, looks due north, similar to carribean.
Access to the Island via ferry services from the Port of Brisbane. 4x4 Drive needed.
