The construction of the dam saw several communities disappear under the 40 metre deep waters of the lake, with ghostly trees peering through the gentle waters. Today the 200km of the lake’s shoreline is home to a hydroelectric power station, holiday parks and campsites, recreational areas and lakeside cottages. Owned by State Government Corporation SunWater.
