The Court House Hotel (Established 1878) is the oldest pub in the Township of Port Douglas, located in the exclusive tropical playground of far north Queensland (67Km north of Cairns City). The historic hotel is a perfect example of heritage ‘Queenslander’ style establishments with its façade featuring the iconic wide, covered, wraparound verandas. In pristine condition, the interior of the hotel has modernised for the comfort of its patrons, yet simplistically retains its old world charm. The hotel and its surrounding alfresco areas are shaded by giant, leafy fig trees, once infants overshadowed by the building over a century ago. With views of ANZAC Park and Port Douglas Harbour to the distant tropical mountain peaks across the harbour, the hotel offers an abundance of outdoor seating to take in the view or just a great place to enjoy Ports’ perfect weather and ice-cold beer.
