Cape Hillsborough National Park is a coastal National Park spread over eight-hundred-and-sixteen hectares. Most of the rugged and hilly Park is covered in dense rainforest. At its peak height the Park reaches two-hundred-and-sixty-seven metres in elevation. The Park is a peninsula of volcanic origin and features beaches with friendly wallabies and views of Wedge Island and the waters of the Great Barrier Reef. There are palm trees for that tropical feel as well as dank mangrove-fringed wetlands and eucalypt forests. Rocky headlands rise up from the beach dressed in proud hoop pines. The Park has plenty of eucalypt forest. The Park also has rhyolite boulders spread over its headlands.
